WHS Alumni All-Star's Lip Sync

The second meeting we covered this week was the rehearsal of the Lip Sync All-Stars. The planning is over and now they are devoting at least one evening a week to get ready to have one of their best performances yet. The rehearsals are all being held at the high school, on the big stage. Some are even gathering in various homes to get ready for the rehearsals.

The All-Stars have been at this for a few years now trying to raise funds for the Alumni Activities. They have been known to take their shows on the road to help other charities. Many folks coming home for this year's reunion have heard of the performances but never had a chance to see one in person. For that reason the All-Stars are kicking off the reunion with two performances. Tuesday evening, June 29 at 7 P.M. there will be a preview edition to give all a taste of what they missed. Then again on Wednesday, June 30 at 7 P.M. there will be a second performance by this cast of mad cap performers. As their gift to all attending admission is free & open to the public. There will be a bucket available for any free will donations.

Shown here attending Wednesday's rehearsal, from the left, is Steve Creaturo, Tom Wilson, Earl Campbell, Butch Hawksworth, Janet Cambell, Carrie McMahon, Barry Arbaugh, Toni Figley, Donna Hawksworth, Mary Heaton, Rose Mick, Linda Cochran, Rosalie and Jack Call. These dedicated souls braved the drenching rain and storm conditions to get there and are but a part of the cast & crew. With tornado warnings and thunder storm conditions it got nasty Wednesday evening.

Trust us, you won't regret see one or both of these shows. If there were Oscars for lip syncing performers the WHS All-Stars would have no competition. They have a few somber, torch love songs but the comedy is rib tickling. We still get a chuckle from some of the antics we saw from our first show. We can't wait this year to see "Bruiser"...
