Monday - August 2: The 2010 WHS Volleyball Team got started even earlier than the band this morning with a week of conditioning under the direction of Head Coach Dan McKinstry. Shown here running the steps at Nicholson Stadium are some of the players that will be representing the Tigers at the net this season.
We counted around 15 players going through the exercises this morning. Coach McKinstry advised us there are a couple of players still away on vacation, a few more practicing with the band and one on the injured reserve list.
The players will have conditioning drills through Thursday of this week. Next week the team will move to the gym with practice times alternating with Band schedules.
The Tigers open the season August 31 at Southern Local. Their first home match is against Heartland Christian at 5:30 P.M., September 2.
