WHS Baseball

Finally got a chance to catch a little baseball action this past Monday when the Wellsville Tigers played Sebring up at Hammonds Park. The girls were playing on one field and the boys on another. The boys won their game by a score of 7 - 4 while the girls suffered a loss.

The boys are now 8 & 10 on the season. They're confident that they can turn it around and make it only the fourth winning season since 1974. In 2008 they didn't have a single win.

The Tigers open Sectional tournaments next Monday, May 11, at Bridgeport. They are number 4 seed in their section and play Shadyside. Game time is 5:30.

They next play at home with a double header against Southern Local scheduled for Saturday, May 16.

Pictured above in Monday's games is Pitcher Jordan Dalrymple coming home to score a run and Ladies pitcher Mindy Thomas getting ready to let one fly.

Good luck Tigers...

Thanks for setting us straight. Went back and double checked my notes... That's info from one of the coaches. This didn't get written up until last Thursday. I talked to that coach last Monday.
