New Business In Town

Actually there are two new businesses in town, both of them resturants. I missed the ribbon cutting at the New China Resturant up on Wells Avenue. It features a full line of Chinese food that can be eaten in or ordered for take-out.

The other new business is Kat's Kitchen located in the former Smith's Main Street. They offer a full menu of traditional food that I hear is darn good eating. Breakfast is served all day and they have sandwiches, salads and full course meals.

Hours are Monday - Saturday 7 A.M. - 8 P.M. Sunday hours are 8 A.M. - 7 P.M. Dinner hours start daily at 4 P.M.

Pictured above at the welcoming ceremony is Chamber President Randy Allmon cutting the ribbon. Behind him from the left is Kerry Dye, Vickie Davis, Audrey Willard, owner Kat Andrews, Mayor Joe Surace and Chamber VP Diana Spencer. In the back from the left is Mary Duris, John Wilson, head chef Jake Andrews, Barbara Smith and Chamber member Sheryl Gibson.

Bon appetite...

You also say Diana Spencer as chamber vice-president. She is not, Jim Saracco is vice-president. Why do you keep writing it this way?

Why do I keep writing it that way? It's simple. I mistakingly thought she was V.P. knowing she will be President next year. Her correct Chamber title is Presdient-elect. Jim Saracco is the V.P.

Jim has been on medical leave for while now.
