Like A Timex

Say what you will about the man but he's like a Timex watch. He can take a lickin' and still keeps on tickin', as they say in the commercial. I don't have enough space to list all his accomplishments for what he has done on a volunteer basis for this village. I've known Nunzio Lombardozzi for a long time and he has always done anything and everything he can to help out in his free time.

Nunzi told me that wife Fay came up with the idea of the OGMBG at a meeting of the ACAB. They were kicking around ideas for different fund raisers. Others have told me Nunzi took the bull by the horns with organizing the players, tickets, promoting, etc. He did all this in his spare time while still going to work every day. I get tired just thinking about all the man does in that spare time.

Nunzi gets his own section as a small token of thanks for all he did to help make this a successful event. Pictured above is Nunzi begging the referees for mercy just prior to the game. Next is Nunzi getting handcuffed by ELPD Officer Kelsey Hedrick for committing a foul. Last picture is Nunzi taking a time out to catch his breath. When he takes a time out he does it in style!
