Planning continues for the upcoming 2nd Annual Old Gray Mayor's Basketball game to be held May 1 at the Wellsville High School. Since our last report tickets have been printed and are now available. They are very reasonably priced and are available at Air Waves on Main Street or from any member of the committee.

Donations for the Chinese Auction continue to come in. Since our report of March 19 Save A Lots Henry Nemenze donated a Steeler tent. Holly Development donated a perfume & manicure set. Anna Mace will be donating an Italian basket. Cactus Car Wash donated a strip of car wash tickets and music CDs. The Angels of the Alley Cat Aid Brigade are donating a Frank Sinatra doll, a tie blanket, a MP3 player and a life size M&M man full of, what else, M&Ms. Chuck Witman is donating tickets for four to attend a Pirates game.

Anna Mace is coordinating the player's roster for the Wellsville Team of aging round ballers. If you want to sign up or have any questions you can contact Anna at 330-532-3452 or 330-277-7421. Names & other information is being gathered for the program. The only rules for players are that they have to be at least 50 years old and be able to walk the length of the basketball court. Running is not permitted for this game. The more the merrier.

It was also reported that barring any legislative emergencies U.S. Congressman Charlie Wilson will be making an appearance. CC County Commissioner Dan Bing is going to be one of the referees. Wellsville's own and faithful supporter, basketball great Bevo Francis will be there too. If they could only convince Bevo to play a little bit!

In other news for the Revitalization Committee it was reported that Heritage Ohio is ready to get started with the Main Street USA program when ever the committee gives the nod. There will be training classes held July 14. Registration is $15 per person for anyone wanting to participate. Deadline for registration is July 7.

Artist Gina Hansom is ready to resume painting the floodwall murals when weather permits. Arrangements are being made to pressure wash the winter grime off and priming the unpainted panels on the wall. Anyone interested in getting something painted on one of the few remaining panels should contact Connie Carmichael at 330-532-9064.

Next meeting is schduled for Wednesday, April 14 at 6 P.M. at DaLonzo's Restuarant.
