Good Friday Breakfast

Good Friday - April 2: The annual Good Friday Breakfast was once again hosted by the good folks at the Covenant Presbyterian Church. The annual breakfast is sponsored by the Wellsville Area Ministerial Association. It was a packed house that came to hear the message of Good Friday as delivered by Nazarene Church Pastor Dirk Hall.

There were people from all walks of life from Wellsville, East Liverpool and other spots in the county. With the possible exception of one, we believe every judge in Columbiana County enjoyed the meal. While being introduced, EL Municipal Court Judge Melissa Byers-Emmerling proudly announced she was a Wellsville native and Covenant Presbyterian was her place of worship while growing up in the village.

WHS Class of '55 Alumni, Rev. Bill Betteridge served as Master-of-Ceremonies and offered the prayers. Betteridge is Pastor of the Riverside Presbyterian Church. Pastor Hall said they limited him to just 10 minutes, delivered the day's message. Vocalist Melany Martinez, accompanied by Erin Burke on the piano, entertained with special music.

A special thanks goes to the members of Covenant Presbyterian for once again doing an outstanding job. It's easy for us to say that with friends and neighbors like you all, to once again say that Wellsville is indeed a special place.
