On The Calendar

Doing this a day early so everyone has ample time to line up the events early in the week.

Monday - April 12:

Tuesday - April 13:

  • Wellsville Area Ministerial Assoc. - Breakfast Meeting at Tonda's - 9 A.M.

  • Story Hours - Wellsville Carnegie Library - Ages 3 to 5 - 11 A.M. to noon - After School - Ages 5 & up - 3:30 to 4:30 P.M.

  • River Museum Cleaning Detail - Riverside - 9:30ish -

  • WHS Baseball Teams vs Western Reserve at home - Hammonds Park - 5 P.M.

  • WHS Track Teams at Western Reserve


Wednesday - April 14:

  • BWD Finance Committee Meeting - 10 A.M. at Water Treatment Plant on Rt. 45

  • VFW Sr. Vice Commander Election - Noon to 7 P.M. - VFW Post - Main St.

  • Middle School Track Teams at Columbiana

Thursday - April 15:

  • Federal Income Tax Filing Deadline

  • BWD Board of Trustees - 9 A.M. - Wellsville Village Hall

  • Crime Watch - 6 P.M. - Wellsville Village Hall


Friday - April 16:

  • Mason's Breakfast - 7 A.M. to 10 - Masonic Temple - Main St. - Donation only

  • WHS Baseball Double Header at Beaver Local - Noon

  • WHS Track Teams at Shadyside Relays


Sunday - April 18:

  • Worship at the church of your choice



Kindergarten registration will be held all week at the Garfield School during the hours shown above. Additional hours will be held April 15 4 P.M. to 7 and April 17 from 9 A.M. to noon. Call 330-532-3301 with any questions.

Bonny is directing a clean up at the River Museum Tuesday trying to get the winter grime from the Country Store & the museum's Fire Station. She tells me "around 9:30".

**There will be a Special Council Meeting Wednesday for Union business, various sewer projects and an application for a liquor permit.**

Thursday's Crime Watch will have CC EMA Director Darren Dodson demostrating the Nexle early warning notification system.

**The Friends of the Old Fire Station are working feverishly to get the old place ready for the All-Class Reunion. Work parites are scheduled for every Monday and Friday mornings. You don't even have to be a member if you want to lend a hand! Also, on Friday there will be a Wellsville Council Property Committee meeting to discuss playground equipment.**

W.H.S. Baseball Team defeated Western Reserve 4-2 Mon. The Tigers are 4-3 in the I.T.C.L. and 4-5 overall.

Did the girls play? Nothing in the papers about them. They were scheduled to play W-R too.

The girls were defeated Mon. by Western Reserve, I don't know the score.

The girls lost to W-R 19-1 as reported in the Morning Journal.
