Where's Grimshaw?

It's been some time since we heard of any movement in the Tonia Amato murder investigation. The last news we had was September 14th when the MJ reported about the third search of the Amato residence.

In that article Special Prosecutor Lynn Grimshaw was quoted saying taking the case to the grand jury "could come by the end of October". He was also quoted as saying that "progress is being made slowly, but none of us want to be accused...of rushing to judgement".

There is a confessed shooting suspect who admitted on the day that Tonia was killed back in July that he shot her. There have been three different search warrants executed, the last in September. One would think that by now all testing would be done. The end of October has come and gone. We are now in the second full week of November. At this time no one will be accused of rushing anything. Come out, come out where ever you are Mr. Grimshaw. It's time.

In fact it is past time.

I totally agree with you.. What is going on with this case..Probablly going to sweep it under the rug.

From what I have heard from police friends, no prosecutor will go to the Grand Jury around the holidays because they could be too lenient. So...January is a long ways off! Maybe then....

I'm sure questions and threats from an "ole nib" will scare him out of hibernation and get the ball rolling here. What? No comments on the fact that 4 of Surace's absentee ballots were ruled invalid? The margin is narrowing folks- makes those provisional all the more important, huh? Should be an interesting week.

Watch News 9 tomorrow. They are going to talk about the Roberts murder.

Just saw it..Tonight at 6pm. Who was the female that confessed?

It would be nice to see some action on this case. Tonya's family must be very upset about the length of time that has passed and still nothing done. It's hard to imagine how he can live in that house after what happened in there.

I am sure we will hear many, many stories like that in the naked city after the vote comes out. It is all gossip. There is no way to sort it out. It will be like the Bush/Gore campaign. People are still divided. Pay no attention to any of it. What will be, will be.

Please, back to the topic.

What all was said about the Roberts murder on the News. Did they actually say a female confessed to it. Give details.

Someone who works at the election board could be in lots of trouble if they are letting out this information about ballots, and irregular voters. Does anyone know who is letting information out? Or is it gossip?

Anonymous said...

It is gossip, plain and simple. The results will not be released until the 26th when they are certified. Nobody is going to "sneak information" out of the elections board and risk losing their job over a stupid little Mayor's race in podunk Wellsville.

I'll throw this into the mix, just because I'm curious. When are they going to mulch-out and fertilize the trees on Broadway? It doesn't look as though they are taking very good care of their trees. If you are a Tree City you should stay on top of what needs to be done. Just wondering if any of the tree people really knows what they are doing.

Call Dawn Johnson, she is the President of the tree committee. Maybe they need some advise. It wouldnt hurt to call and question them. Maybe they dont know they are supposed to do it.

I really feel sorry for that poor girl and her family and friends. God bless her.

maybe they are waiting until he shoots his new girlfriend!!!

Anonymous said...

He has a new girl friend?

Anonymous said...

WELL I JUST WATCHED NEWS9 AND THE BIG CHIEF AND THEY DIDNT TELL US ANYTHING THAT WE DONT ALREADY KNOW OR HAVENT HEARD WHAT A WASTE OF AIRTIME ...

Anonymous said...

Just me, I would not think that is accurate. You mean to tell me all these absentee landlords in East Liverpool (who live in other states) have the right to vote because they OWN PROPERTY?
I think not. You have to be a RESIDENT to vote in an election, not just a property owner.

better talk to govener strickland on that one you know he resides in lisbon or does he just own property?

The channel 9 Roberts story was just dumb and more of the same. Of course, since they buried it after the weather and even after the diet lady you knew they couldn't have had much.

The only crime Wellsville can solve is people doing 10 mph over the speed limit on Rt 7. And they pull people over in Saline Townships jurisdiction to do that. Nothing like being a good neighbor. Of course it's all about truth justice and safety right? Or is it all about the mighty buck money money money. It's what law enforcement is all about in Wellsville. Money!

Right, this village is just loaded with money. We have money to burn because of speeding violators.

cant wait said...

i agree with ole nib these murders should not be swept under the carpet it is sad i wonder how many murders are actually in the col. county area i know of quite alotand just not in wellsville you see all kinds of billboards on route 7 those poor families of the murdered and missing that have no answers. i dont want to know the anguish that they are feeling.

We dont know if it is true, or just some gossip. We dont even know where it came from. The election board or where. I hope it isnt true. I dont even know the people, but I hate to think we would give Wellsville anymore black eyes to deal with. I guess eventually we will know, like you said, it will come back to hurt you. I just want the election results to be in, and be on the up and up, no matter who wins.

The white haired king shall rule for another 8 and 40 moons. Swords shall rattle amongst his lieutenants. One or the other or both shall leave. The chief of fire shall fade away. A new king shall emerge from the region of Aten. His brother will also rise to power. A new era of prosperity dawns.

I just read and watched the WTOV report on the Craig Roberts' murder. The only new thing I learned is that Steve Roberts has a taped confession. What I'm wondering is what is Herron's problem? If the recorded individual actually made that statement can't the BCI do a voice print analysis to verify it? From what I heard voice prints are just as good as finger prints. Big Brother uses it to verify Osama's press releases. Why is Herron being willy nilly with this case? I'm beginning to wonder about Herron.

I still think there is a lot about this case that hasn't been made public. If memory serves me correctly the official line five years ago was that they couldn't find the murder weapon.

to response to What The.... it is easy to see you don't know the first thing about village finance. If you want to comment do some researse first then comment.. don't beleave everything you hear it is not always the truth remember in wellsville you are guilty until you prove your self innocent. the police says so

For those of you interested in the unsolved homicides in the county (including Craig Roberts'), there is a town meeting at 6 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Jubilee Christian Fellowship Church, 519 Jackson Street, East Liverpool, for discussion on unsolved violent crimes and murder victims' friends and families.

anonymous..If you post something that actually makes any sense let us know. By the way, they have this new thing out now that might help you...it's called a dictionary!

Ole Nib:
I remember when they had boats out in the river diving and looking for the weapon. They didnt find it. Is that what the hold up is.
