Thursday - May 6: Wrapping up the Awards Assembly at the high school this week Principal Linda Rolley announced the WHS Class of 2010 Top Ten Students. With the final grading period for the academic year still to be completed there may be a change or two with a couple of the rankings. For that reason we will hold off reporting the grade point averages until later. Some of those gpa's are within a few thousands of a point. It's that close.
Here are the Summa Decem students as announced: For Valedictorian is Miss Taylor Buzzard. Taylor plans to attend WVU and major in Bio Chemistry. Salutatorian is Miss Emmalee McIntosh. Emmalee plans on being a Buckeye at OSU majoring in Business Administration. Taylor & McIntosh are pictured above.
Rounding out the Top Ten, in the second picture, are the following with colleges and majors following their names. They are Zack Koopman, Akron U, Biology, Rachel Vallera, Akron U, Exercise Climate & Athletic Training, Marcus Allison, WVU, Mining Engineering, Maleia Roach (not pictured), Akron U, Zoology, Robert Barringer, Malone U, Education, Zoe Delilo, Potomac State, Pre-Architecture, Seth Holt, Kent-Salem, Pre-Nursing and Jessica Albaneso, Toledo U, Psychology.
