It turned out to be a beautiful, sun shiny day on Wednesday, June 30, for the Wellsville Public Library sponsored Chalk Art Contest. The contest was open to two age groups - 6 to 11 year olds & 12 to 18 year olds. It was a good response from the budding young artists and they displayed some remarkable talent.
There were no losers. Everyone got a prize along with the top three contestants in each age group. Judges for the contest were Ila DeJane, Dymimus Fulmer and Jessica Cox. Taking top prizes in the older age group was Sarah K, Matti B & Jillian O. In the younger group top prizes went McKenzi Y, Sarah D & Grace H.
The contest was sponsored by the Wellsville Carnegie Library and the Friends of the Library. It's another of the many activities made available by the good people at your library.
