Wellsville Area Ministerial Assoc.

Tuesday - February 9: The WAMA held their February Breakfast Meeting Tuesday at Tonda's Place on Main Street. Present at the meeting was Pastor Troy Warner, President and Treasurer Terry McCuen. Also attending was Lucille Huston, Bishop Bill Rudder and Byron Carter.

Thank you notes were read from the Christian School for the WAMA donation of mashed potatoes for the school's sponsored Thanksgiving Dinner. A letter of appreciation was also received from the Youth With A Purpose Home for WAMA's donation.

For the Treasurer's Report, Deacon McCuen reported that a $120 donation was made to the Cedarville University Jamaica mission coming this spring. It was voted to donate $100 at last month's meeting and McCuen advised he received an additional private donation of $20 to add to that. The Paint Fund remains at $297.

Rev. Warner introduced the Prayer List of people for folks to include in your thoughts and prayers. This month's list include Vicki McCombs, Majorie Minor, Elizabeth Carter, Mrs. Denise Renfro, Suzette Beaver, Jake Lunders, Josh Warner, Corbin Hall, the Ken McElroy family, Rev. Roosevelt Thompson and all our kids, schools and the Village of Wellsville.

Ideas and thoughts were discussed on ways to increase participation and membership in WAMA. Warner noted membership is open to any church member in the area. There are no dues or fees. Breakfast meetings are held at Tonda's Place to provide a central location on the second Tuesday of every month at 9 A.M. There's is no obligation to even purchase breakfast. WAMA's main mission is for the benefit of the whole area whether possibly lending a hand to our neighbors in need or simply saying a prayer to implore the Lord's blessing. It is non-denominational and open to anyone. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on how to increase participation you are asked to attend the next meeting or speak to your pastor.
