Wells Avenue Bridge Road Repair

Friday - November 6: As you can see in the picture the "wash board" ripples are gone. For the time being you will no longer be bouncing all over the place rattling your teeth pulling up to the stop sign on Wells Avenue at the intersection of Rout 45. Village officials were able to scrounge up enough to get a portion of that street paved and eliminate the annoying bumps.

West Point Paving started working on it Thursday morning and by noon today appeared to be well on the way to having the job completed. Approximately 80 feet was cleared off down to the base and recoated with two inches of new black top. With any luck it will stay in good shape at least until next summer. With the summer heat and the "coal buckets"...

Enjoy it for now.
