Someone calling them self "Spooky" mentioned it on the last post but I thought it would be worth while to bring it up again. As announced at the boardwalk dedication the Revitalization Committee will be sponsoring a Halloween Walk at the boardwalk this coming Saturday from 5-7 P.M. There will be treats and I think prizes. Take your goblins & gremlins up there and enjoy. This could be a warm up for the big night. Hopefully the weather will be favorable. A big "Thank You" to the committee for all their work and efforts to provide this activity for our youth.
While we're on the subject it has been announced that Trick or Treat here in the ville will be Halloween Night which is next Wednesday, the 31st, from 5:30-7 P.M. Turn on your porch lights if you are passing out treats. Although it's getting to be more and more expensive it is very entertaining to witness the array of costumes and the excitement in the young ones. It always brings back memories of times long gone for yours truly. My favorite place to get to back in my youth was the couple in the neighborhood that gave out store bought candy bars and a quarter in each and every bag.

When we were kids we got regular size candy bars. Halloween was so exciting then. Three sisters that lived down the stree always made the best carmel apples. I hope the kids enjoy the Halloween Walk. Thanks Ole Nib for the nice memories.
I can remember Halloween being a very nice fall night and it seemed endless. Broadway was always hoppin' and was lit up from one end to the other. after we was done with uptown we went downtown. We sometimes had to take two bags because we knew was going to get alot of candy. I have tried to tell my step son about those days. He called me a nerd. I still go trick and treating with the kids and this year I will be dressed as a woman. I told my son this and still he called me a nerd. One day he will have memories like these to tell his kids and they will call him a nerd.
We will be taking the kids there. Maybe meet some new people.. who knows.. This is a great thing for the village.. Thanks to all involved.
Maybe Dave Lloyd will finaly show up at something. Mayb he will dress up as a Mayoral Candidate. Sorry, I just couldnt resist.
Hey ip, next time up why not jumping off.
I think it's awful that people leave comments that have to be removed.
Wonder if ole nib is up at the floodwall getting some treats.
Nib how were the treats tonight? Sweet or fishy?
What a great evening at the boardwalk. Lots of kids, candy and fun. The kids were wonderful and seemed to really enjoy it. Hopefully, next year it will be even bigger. Thanks to everyone who participated.
Nib why don't you use comment moderation so these type remarks never get on in the first place.
CC... sorry we didnt get to make it yesterday.. we were in Youngstown most of the day, and the kids were gone for the weekend..
