Wellsville SOI Named February Business of The Month

Thursday – February 24: The Wellsville Sons of Italy Lodge #657 was named the Chamber of Commerce's February Business of the Month. Located at 327 Main Street the SOI Lodge annually holds an Italian American Festival. It is three days of great music, delicious food, games and an annual reunion of old friends and neighbors held in August. Last year's festival was their 14th annual festival. It seems to get bigger and better each year.

Pictured above accepting the Business of the Month plaque in the center is SOI President Rocco DaLonzo with Chamber Board of Director members Mayor Joe Surace to his left and Paul Blevins.

Congratulations to Rocco and all the members of SOI Lodge #657.

When will Save-A-Lot ever get
business of the month. Someone
from the Chamber, please respond
to that.

Also, the S.O.I. is not a business, it is non profit group. They must be running out.

You have to be a member of the Chamber to be eligible to receive the Business of the Month award. Save-A-Lot is not a member. However, the SOI pays dues and is a member, and that makes them eligible for the award.

Oh
So if he had stayed a member,
he may have eventually gotten
the award. He did not renew,
so he can't get it. Got it.
They should have given it to him,
when he was a member. It would
have been a very nice gesture, since he donated and bought back most of his items in their auction last year. He spent over $1000 of the $2000 and change that they made. I guess helping them out like that at a fundraiser and emplooying people in the Village, and contributing to groups and events doesn't qualilfy you when you are a member.

why isn't Save-A-Lot a member? Because the Wellsville Chamber is a joke.

This petty feud between the chamber and Revitalization Committee (aassuming the previous comment was made by Nemenz employee and RC President Candy Bangor) is ridiculous.all it's doing is hurting the village. Randy and Candy need to kiss and make up for the REAL betterment of the village!

I assure you I did not make the last comment, but agree with you.
The Chamber and WRC should work
together and WRC has tried to promote that on various occassions
during the last year but it is always declined. I hope some in the chamber will share your view.

Thanks
