Wellsville Freshman split the win - loss column last week. On Monday, February 1, they beat Western Reserve at home. Final score in that game was Wellsville 35 - Western 31. That game is pictured above. The Tigers won the first half 25 - 13 and were able to hang in there in the second half for the win. Western came back in the last two quarters out scoring the Orange & Black 18 - 10. According to the newspapers Justin Gregg led the Tigers with 13 points followed by Cameron Betz with 12.
On Wednesday, February 3, in a make-up game versus McDonald the Tigers lost by a score of 38 -27. That game was played at home. With an over time thriller at Beacom Memorial we were only able to catch the last couple of minutes at the high school game. Cameron Betz led the Tiger scoring with 15 points and Matt Coles added another 11. The Tiger Freshman are now 2 & 9 on the season.
The Tigers were suppose to take on Beaver Local at home tonight. With no school today we expect that will be cancelled.
