Well, we're three days into October. We've heard it said "time flies when you're having fun". It must be true. It's hard to believe the year is in the last quarter.

Fire Prevention Week runs through Saturday. Time to put new batteries in the smoke detectors.

The Arts Club meeting Wednesday night will feature Irish dancers Austin West & Justine Besur.

Busy week for the WHS Volleyball team. They play three matches in three days, two on the road before coming home for Senior Night Thursday.

**According to Monday's papers Wednesday is the last day for you to be guaranteed to get the correct size T-shirt for this years Dash for Mat's Bash. The organizers are facing an ordering deadline for the October 16 event. Late registrations will probably be able to get a shirt but it will be hit or miss on the what sizes are available.
