As candidates are busy decorating the Village with campaign signs we thought we would offer these reminders. The November 8th General Election is only a month away. The deadline to be registered to vote in that election is coming this Tuesday, October 11. You have to be registered with your current address to vote.
Wellsville voters will be electing a new mayor and deciding who will fill four Village Council seats. There are four candidates vying for the Mayor's office and seven candidates wanting to fill the open Council seats. Another item on this year's ballot that has the interest of a lot of people is the referendum known as Issue 2. If passed Issue 2 will approve Senate Bill No. 5, commonly referred to as the anti-union law.
Registration forms are available at Village Hall. Those forms must be filed at the Columbiana County Board of Elections office in Lisbon by the end of business hours Tuesday afternoon, October 11.
