WHS Lady Tigers Move to 5&1
With a fourth of the regular season schedule behind them the WHS Lady Tigers improved to 5&1. Last Wednesday evening the Ladies hosted the Leetonia Lady Bears in a make-up game that the Leetonia team probably want to forget. From the opening quarter to the final buzzer we don't think the Lady Bears were ever once in the lead.
Mikyla Tipton lead all scorers with 25 points. According to The Review's “Leaderboard” Tipton is averaging 18.6 points in the early season. Rilee Livolsi added another 10 points and pulled down six rebounds. Sharp shooter Irene Kiser contributed two 3-pointers and Meika Dalrymple hit one outside the arch that contributed to her nine point total. The Lady Tigers finished victory number 5 with a 63-46 win.
The Wellsville Reserves won the opening match with a 36-30 win. Brittany Clendenning let the JVs with 12 points.
The Lady Tigers return to action tonight on the road at ITCL rival Western Reserve. On Thursday they travel to McDonald for another always tough ITCL match-up.
Good Luck Ladies... You're playing tough. Need a little work at the foul line. Those foul shots sometimes make the difference in the ball game.
