Pictures With Santa & The Grinch

Sunday - December 6: The Wellsville Fire Dept. today arranged a deal with Santa and the Grinch to pose for pictures with area youngsters. Arriving from the North Pole Santa spent the afternoon at the Fire Station on Main Street. Who knows where the Grinch came from. Only Dr. Seuss can tell us that. With Fireman Barry Podwell getting everyone lined up all the good girls and boys patiently waited in line for their turn with the jolly old elf.

Even though the Grinch was on his very best behavior in Santa's company, young William Lockhart sitting on his mom's lap, in the top right picture, wanted no parts of him or his candy canes. The Grinch had to get out of sight until William and brother Arlen got their pictures taken. Wendy Lockhart, mother of William & Arlen, bravely demonstrated, that even though the Grinch may look mean, he can be a like able fellow.

With Santa in the top center picture from the left is Aleia Hawk, Rylee Daniels, Keely Daniels and Kelly Tanley. Bottom left is part of the Roush family from Highlandtown. From the left is Allen, Tyler, Tim and Jacob. Bottom right corner posing with the Grinch & Santa is Vinesca Surmaceviz in the blue top.

Did you know that Santa goes on a diet and gets lots of exercise every summer? Check out the small picture center-left of the slimmed down Santa. When we asked him if he is well he responded that he is fit as a fiddle. He goes on the diet & exercise regimen every year in preparation of all cookies and milk children worldwide leave out for him Christmas Eve. That way he can enjoy the treats and still get back up the chimney!

If you or your organization would like to arrange a photo session with Santa give Amy Hissom a call at 330-932-0490. Amy is actually one of Santa's helpers and has a hot line to the North Pole.

This was a great story, Neb! I spoke with the fire department and they told me that everyone had fun and were pleased with their pictures. I hope we can do this again next year. Santa told me that he had a great time visiting with the kids. The Grinch said the same, although he also said that he wished that the children would see that he is a good Grinch now. I told Santa that he had better start eating those cookies earlier next year. If he goes on that diet too much the kids won't recognize him. Well until next year, Santa and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. See ya next year! - Amy Hissom & Santa
