The half time show at Friday's game was something special. Dedicating the show to the memory of the late pop idol Michael Jackson, Music Director Mrs. Jennifer Gooch choreographed a spectacular bit of entertainment. Using hundreds of students from all three Wellsville schools a memorable rendition of Jackson's hit Thriller was performed.
When they took the field they had kids entering from all four corners of the stadium. They all performed to perfection and even had Jackson's trade mark single glove. All of them had the ghoulish make-up and costumes that were part of Jackson's video.
It was quite a feat putting it all together and all members of the cast & crew should well be proud of their performance. I'm sure Mrs. Gooch was quite tense and probably wasn't breathing right getting ready all last week. When it was all over she appeared visibly relieved.
It was something to see. You did good Jennifer. You can breathe now...

WOW ! What a great halftime show. Thank you Mrs.Gooch, band members and teachers that all had a part on pulling it off.
What a wonderful half-time show!! A very good job by the band, cheerleaders, students, and staff! Kudos to Mrs. Gooch for the hard work she put into getting all involved to show their school pride and spirit!
What a wonderful job the band director, the band and all who worked hard to get thriller halftime show together need a round of applaus (clap Clap clap) GOOD JOB EVERYONE
I want to thank you Nib for covering the halftime show. Good thing you have this non-paying job since the local media didn't find it news worthy to cover such a great event!
booster mom - You're entirely welcome. We had a couple of kids in the band a while back and appreciate all the time & effort that goes into it, especially with a show of that magnitude. It was fun and I was very glad I was able to watch it.

Jo Ann Bobby spent a lot of time taking pictures of the kids the day before the game to let people know about the halftime show.
You're right, Jo did cover it the day before to let folks know about it. It's just a shame that when the actual event took place, neither the news channels or papers had anything.
I don't know how many pictures Jo Bob took but I only saw one printed in the paper. The ER photographer was there but left before the 2nd quarter. They also had a sports reporter there for the whole game. He's the one that took the picture of Coach Skinner hugging Mrs. Saling at the trophy presentation. Channel 9 was there too.
