Yesterday morning at the Water Treatment Plant the Board of Trustees of the Buckeye Water District held a special meeting to open bids for their primary depository. All board members were present except for Cal Carney & David Lloyd. The bids were from financial institutions for the board to determine who will handle the BWD future banking. Huntington is their current depository.
Bids were submitted by Central Federal, 1st National Community and Huntington. Representatives from 1st National & Huntington were present for the bid opening. Following the acceptance and opening of the bids was a lengthy discussion of the various pros & cons of the three submitted bids. It was decided to make up a chart listing each of the categories side by side for consideration in determining who will be awarded the contract.
