Here's a picture of some of the men who put a lot of years in helping in the WVFD. Sorry I couldn't get a good angle to get all of them in the picture. There were some guys toward the back of the float that were cut off from view. The two guys in front are George Cornwell and Jack Call.
It was nice they were included. We owe them a vote of thanks for their contributions while they were active. Glad they didn't make them march. I get winded just thinking about walking the parade route!

What's the deal with saint francis and the dog catcher?
Yeah,what the heck is the deal? Been reading about it in the paper and hearing about it everywhere I go.
What a shame! You get something that benefits the Ville.....then ya get pooped on....."SCREWED" according to a member being quoted in the Journal.
I have heard nothing,but GOOD about the dog pound and the group that cares for those animals.
"Pampered Pets" of St. Francis of Assisiville no more or what?
I thought some gentleman gave that building to that group?
Why after all this time does this Ohio Revised Code come to Councils' attention? Who was and wasn't doing their homework if there is such a code? Someone from Village Hall eat a smart pill or what?....and thought ....."maybe I should check with the Village Solicitor after 2 years and make sure everything down there is legit"? HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM?

Can council and the mayor write a waiver?
I think it was an over-sight on behalf of the Village not knowing about the revised code and I know they have to follow it.
However, several people "think" that maybe a disgruntled volunteer was "digging" until they found some"thing" to oust that group. A revenge thing of some sorts. Sure would be sad if that would turn out to be the case.
I am taking councils' and Mr. Beech's word on it.
I just hope things can be worked out so the building and the animals can still be taken great care of by the St. Francis group.
If something can't be worked out such as a waiver,hopefully St. Francis can find another building to utilize for the welfare of the dogs.
They have come a long way and to have this happen......well,it's just a shame!
Thank You St.Francis for all you have done for the dogs. The community is behind you!

Oh,by the way....are the raffle tickets for the FREE GAS still good and will St.Francis get the proceeds or "someone" else? I bought several tickets...hope they are still good.......hope the $$$ goes for the care of the dogs!!!
McMahon was about as rude as anyone could be to people who wanted to speak on behalf of Saint Francis. It was not the specified time to speak, but people politely raised thier hands to be acknowledged and McDoNothing finally had something to say at a council meeting. I guess he was just so happy that he could finally say something nasty. In all seriousness, is he a council member or a giant cow?
mccow - Could you be a little more specific? What did he say that raised your ire? Not to defend anything that McMahon said but I read the folks representing SFAS missed the public comment portion and was granted the priveledge of speaking between committee reports. Is this what you're alluding to?

I have been to council meetings and normally mcnasty doesn't say alot....because he doesn't know much about village politics. That's why he has to FOLLOW the other council people.....just like he did with his campaign signs....I'm following the leader,the leader,I'm following the leader and won't be home til morning!
Maybe mccow,just maybe,...McNasty was at his best....being MCRUDE because he doesn't know what else to say at council meetings.
He did get somewhat LOUD.....reminded you of Howard Dean the "screamer"....maybe he watches too much of Dean the Screamer?
There is a way other than "screaming" at someone who only asked to speak. Even if that person had passed up his chance to speak, McNasty should NOT have been that damn rude!
I witnessed two other people sitting and speaking without permission and they weren't mcscreamed at to shut up and sit down!
Oh well,maybe the next time he decides to run for council,he will run away and not come back. That would be mcfunny!

Just write everything down on paper that you want me to say Surace and Dummy Saracco, and I will read it at the council meeting. I am so stupid, I might need help reading it. Oh well we can't talk or read either McDummy, just do your best. Ask anybody in village hall about how nosey, how stupid, and useless McDummy is, how Joe, I can't tell the truth, Surace is, and I have never told the truth in my life, Dummy Saracco is, and believe me you will see why the village is going to hell in a handbag. But ask the 3 dummys, they will tell the village is in good shape, that's because they live in a fantasy land.
His comment alluded to the fact that if you did not speak during the specified time then you were a coward and needed someone to speak first before you would have the guts to speak yourself. I believe that some people thought they should wait until the saint francis issue was brought up. It was not the right time to speak and council needed to move on to other business and that was all McMouth should have said. That being said, I do not think he is useless. There is a lot of grass that needs cut in the village and that sounds like a perfect job for a giant cow.
I have heard that the land the dog pound sits on actually belongs to the company that owns the Dollar Store.
I McWonder why McRude was so loud. Mr.McRude should have known these people had already been ousted, lied to and treated like crap for what? Wanting to do volunteer work! He should have just McShut-up and let someone with more tact handle to problem.
