We hope we got this correct. It is our understanding that Wellsville Terminal Plant Manager Craig Homic took on renovating the fountain. It's been reinstalled and as you can see it's working. It hasn't pumped water through it since the last All-Class Reunion. Village Administrator Thom Edgell advises they are working on getting lights on it and a few other minor details.
United Water's Greg Stewart has taken on the grounds keeping around the marquee with trimming, weeding and grass cutting. Stewart is the manager of Wellsville's Sewage Treatment Plant. Mayor Susan Haugh advises there will be flowers planted there when the time comes. With temperatures approaching 90 degrees today it hard to believe it's still early spring. Although doubtful, frost is still possible and you know what Mama always said about planting before Memorial Day...

To Anon May 03... I agree, it looks great! I love the color of the fountain! In time, the fence will be refurbished, plants thinned out, color added to and the brick wall will get a much needed powerwash. I am so excited to see the finished results that Craig, Greg and a few others have planned. =)Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Can anyone tell me if the sign for Immaculate Conception Church has been removed? I think it has. It really should not have been removed. The church may be closed but has an 85% chance of being re-opened. If the sign has been removed, it should be put back until the appeal process is complete.

Since they got the fountain working at 17th and Main, maybe they same people should work on the ones on Broadway. The village can't seem to get them to keep water in them to make them work. I would think they would have been working on them already, but of course not. The village also needs to work on the abandoned houses in the village. All of these houses are so terrible looking. Doesn't make a good name for the village with all the business coming to the county. Need to spruce up, should have done it a couple of years ago.
