It was previously published that the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade was going to be this week-end. Then in the paper this morning I noticed it is going to be Saturday - 12/13. There was no explanation offered about the difference in the dates.
At any rate I asked Chamber President-elect Randy Allmon for verification and both him and John McMahon confirmed that it will be the 13th. Sorry if I caused any confusion but I swear I saw next Saturday mentioned a couple of times. I'll have to go back and check my clippings I saved.
This will give the Chamber a little breathing space between the big dinner on Thursday night and the parade. We'll just have to wait a while longer to see Santa in the ville.

Amen, I couldn't agree more. The chamber used to be a good group looking out for the Village. All it is now is a social club. Get control, if not, you will go deeper and deeper down the toilet.
How can a chamber have an "illegal" election? It is not an official government body with any kind of regulations imposed by the government.
I wonder if the person complaining on here is a member who gets INVOLVED or just someone who sits back and waits to complain about those who do? Or perhaps it's a chamber member who would be an officer but didn't get elected?

The Chamber does have leagal bylaws and rules of protocal to follow. They do vote and no, it's not up to one or two people to dictate what happens. This appears to be the case now.
You are right, not too many of them do live in Town. Also, we sure do miss Phyllis, because she would not stand for this shit. She was a true Chamber Member, who new what the Chamber was all about. This click makes my head hurt.
sounds like some sour grapes here. It is time to move this chamber into the 21st century and the complainers can do just what they always do..complain. Some people have been an obsticle to progress for years and have only been on the chamber to gossip and start trouble and we all know who that is! We need a chamber with real ideas, that has progressive goals and that actually promotes Wellsville businesses other than just getting a group picture taken with a new business. Change is needed and wanted not just with the chamber but with council also.
Since when did Tracy Drake move to Wellsville? Sure he does a lot for the County, but this award was set up to be for WELLSVILLE, I SAID WELLSVILLE, CITIZENS OF THE YEAR. This is just somemore of the CLICKS underhanded bullshit. I guess Wellsville did not have any deserving men for the award. Please get the phony people out of the Chamber, or it's over.
Wake Up Wellsville...with BAARD coming in, the Village will experience change. Begin adapting now because progress begins with "Changes".

What person is responsible for the vision to construct a new port in Wellsville? Where did the new Port come from? Why did NASA ship from Wellsville? Who is promoting the PORT? Name that person......... This should answer alot of your questions.
The Chamber Board votes and decides and there are no two people deciding anything for the Wellsville Chamber. Think intelligently.
The Chamber has moved out of the social club status into one of the prominent Chambers in Columbiana County. In addition they have the largest turn out for their dinners in the County! There are workers in this Chambers and progressive thinking. They are a group of volunteers for the Wellsville Chamber as all other Chambers in the County have either an executive director or a paid office worker.
Paul Blevins Citizen of the Year for 2007 was not a resident of Wellsville either.
Like it or not you have a new slate of Officers! For those who want to be involved contact your Chamber Office and quit slamming the individuals who are actually working hard to promote Wellsville!
The only reason there are good turnouts for the dinners is because the labor unions are buying the tickets, who are you trying to fool. The only reason the unions are involved is because you are using Baard Energy to promote the dinners. Get real, you can't fool nobody.
And BAARD Energy is coming to what town? And the unions will be working in what town?
