Here's an almost new business that recently opened in the ville. The picture above says it all. They are located on Main Street in the square right next door to the Vets.
When I say it's almost new I'm referring to the fact that they operated the store on lower Main until an unfortunate fire last year forced them to close. Now they have reopened in a new location. You can drive in off Main and exit to the alley behind.
Stop in and check it out. Best of luck to Tracey & Jeff...

Just what Wellsville needs---another place to simply buy beer. Worse yet, they build a crappy looking cheap metal shed in the heart of Main Street, while nothing is done to the abandoned burned-out building on 16th.
I know Wellsville needs businesses, but not this kind at this location.
Anonymous - You must be a snob of the first order. Your uppity, elitist attitude displays a serious lack of forward thinking that is needed to help this village grow. From what you're saying that would stay a vacant lot until someone could afford to build a Taj Mahal on that piece of ground. Get a life. That is a new, neat and clean building. Read the article in today's ER. It's on page 5B. They offer more than "another place to simply buy beer" and there are plans to expand their product line. It is an excellent location for them. It provides competition which helps hold prices down and it is one of the few businesses in town that is locally owned and operated. I hope they make good business and are there for years to come. The McGraws did not own the building at 1603 Main Street. It is owned by an East Liverpool resident. You can't fault them for that building just sitting there. The McGraws should be thanked for all they risk and I wish them the best of luck.

Will that become "McGraw's Walk-Thru" during the Italian Fest when the street is blocked off? That raises a question that will have to be addressed.
Well Eddie, that indeed has been taken care of. So don't start throwing the shit or stirring the pot like you do so much.
I'd like to host an after hours party there during Italian Fest, who would I talk to, Tracy?
How has the problem been solved. You can say it is solved, but what does that mean? You consider that and anser? What is the anser to Eddies question?
Snoop - Who would the party benefit? Is it some kind of fund raiser? Is it open to the public? Logically the first step would be to contact the McGraws. However I doubt if their liquor license allows for buy-by-the-drink sales. So, arrangements would have to be made ahead of time for what you would be serving. You could make it a private, by invitation only party. Then you could type up a sheet of invitations and copy it to make as many as you want. Last year the SOI gave out one-day guest memberships during the Italian fest. You would have to check with one of their members but somehow it made it legal for someone to enjoy the privileges of a private club for that day. I still have one from last year's fest. Planning ahead is an excellent start but you have to do the leg work to cover all the legalities to avoid any hassles. Such an event would definitely require "c-y-a" procedures. Good luck.

the anser to eddies question is it's solved, and none of his business. That goes for you also, call the Mcgraws if you have to know.
Hey Solved - Getting kinda snooty aren't you now. Why ya lashing out at Eddie & me? You must be the snob that complained about the building.

maybe we could tear down the building at the bottom of 45 and build another drive thru there, they dont seem to be selling much pizza there anyway.even better maybe dans bar from liverpool could open up in the ville and really stimulate the economy.
I think the bottom line here is that no community, especially an economically depressed one such as Wellsville, need nine (9) separate businesses within essentially a one block radius selling alcohol.
Count 'em: 1) Rich's Gas Station
2) Tony's
3) Kwik King
4) SOI
5) Busy Bee
6) Eagles
7) VFW
8) Buckeye Saloon
9) McGraw's
Such an observation is not snobbish or elitist, but a mere statement of fact that we all, as a community, should notice. Enough is enough.
Can you say "business district"? True they all sell alcohol but not all of them are there solely for that purpose. Rich's main line is gasoline. Kwik King is a mini mart mainly for food. Three are private clubs. Years ago there use to be more than that in the area you mentioned. I say we need all the business establishments we can get. If it's legal I don't care what they sell if they want to finance a business and help the ville grow. The village eventually gets part of every tax dollar paid inside the village limits plus the income tax. That is what pays the support of our infrastructure and makes this place a piece of heaven. The more the merrier.

FORGOT THIS IS THE "VILLE" YOUR DAMMED IF YOU DO AND DAMMED IF YOU DON'T...
Why don't people mind thier own bussiness... If you don't like something than just simply don't pay any attention.. From what I have heard the Drive thru is doing very well.. some people just can't stand to see others do well..WHY??
and they are building on to add a deli and italian food also.
ole nib i dont know what town you are talking about but wellsville hasnt been a slice of heaven for 20 years.3 murders in one year, drugs running rampid, but dont speed on route 7!!!
I heard from a good source, that if you got about 8 guys, you could pick up that new drive thru and move it whereever you wanted to. That would solve the whole walkthrough during ItalianFest, that could just move it over to Riverside and take up that street and everybodys happy.
I can't wait til Lurch gets Pete's/FrankieDee's/Tag's/Kessler's reopened! Then the Sterling China area could be the hub of the comunity again!
I hadn't wore a flak jacket since my army days, walking around town lately, I forgot how hot and heavy they are on my back!
